"Round the Corner Art Gallery"
on Orr's Island

Doris Anne opened "Round the Corner Art Gallery" on Orr's Island, Maine in the summer of 2006. Orr's Island is a quaint old fashioned fishing area with many islands and inlets. Lobster boats ply the waters and restaurants feature lobster dinners. Drive to Cook's Corner near Brunswick, Maine, and take Route 24 south. Drive through Great Island to the end of Orr's Island. The gallery is on the left set back from the road before the renowned Cribstone Bridge that links Orr's Island to Bailey Island

Doris Anne sells her watercolors, her children's books, note cards, puzzles of her art (by Richard A. Brown) and Cynthia A. Charles' silk screens.

Her watercolors feature local scenes of Bailey Island, Monhegan Island and Pemaquid Point areas. They are created in her impressionistic style. She also sells her watercolor book, "Watercolor Sparkles". This is a how to book that explains how to use many experimental techniques. Some of these techniques include printing ferns, sponging, plastic wrap, overlays, t-composition, and vignettes.
