Doris Anne Holman

Author/Illustrator of Children's Books

Doris Anne has written and illustrated eleven children's books and one watercolor how to book for adults. As an author/illustrator Doris Anne has enjoyed teaching children about the Florida environment. She creates a warm, friendly atmosphere with the children. She brings puppets to the lower grades and teaches how to write a book with the upper grades. After each discussion she draws one of the birds or animals in her books with the students on paper plates. She shows slide shows of her books. Doris Anne is available to teach adult watercolor workshops as well.

In the summer, Doris Anne does workshops in Maine and open her Orrs Island gallery on weekends.

She lives in Zephyrhills, Florida from November through April. She returns to Maine in May and remains there until November.
